My name is David Statham, and a few years ago began researching my '' Family Tree''. My interest has since developed and I began to research the other Statham families that resided in the Matlock Area.

I have put the information I have gathered on the Internet in case it helps others in their family history research.
My research has benefited from being able to regularly examine the Parish records held at Deryshire Records Office in Matlock
There remains much more information to uncover and this site is therefore a '' work in progress '' , and will be updated.

I have started to include the names of Stathams from other Parishes, Villages and Towns within Derbyshire.
This will eventually build up a more complete record of the Statham families in Derbyshire.
For the time being, as the details are not complete, such names will have a ''white'' background colour.
This will easily identify those individuals as a ''work in progress''
