I am updating records and checking for any further information that has been released. including the 1939 Register, which I hope to have completed before the release of the 1921 Census. This is a slow process, so please check back regularly to see what has changed.
In addition I have started to include the names of Stathams from other Parishes, Villages and Towns within Derbyshire.
This will eventually build up a more complete record of the Statham families in Derbyshire and not only Matlock
This will be a long process, so for the time being, as the details are not complete, such names will have a ''white'' background colour.
This will easily identify those individuals as a ''work in progress''
Some years ago I took photographs of Headstones in St Giles Churchyard, Matlock. These are now uploaded. Some of the headstones are badly worn and will need the image magnifying on your computer
The information contained in this Web Site is taken from official records and other documents which are in the public domain. The Information on my site regarding such people will be limited to Name and year of birth.
SOURCE OF INFORMATION
My information is obtained from a combination of Parish Records, obtained personally at the County Records Office, Matlock. Plus Census records and Civil Birth, Marriage & Death indexes. I have also used information from Commercial Family History sites,
Images are gradually being added to the site. The source documents are my own photographs and certificates, plus a small number of certificates uploaded by others, who have given their permision. Lately, I have started obtaining Baptism, Marriage and Burial records from the Parish Registers of Derbyshire Churches. These are in the public domain and are held at The Derbyshire Records Office. My copies are from microfilm copies of the original records held at the Records Office, and also copies made available by Ancestry.co.uk both at Derbyshire Records Office and on line.
